Application rates

• To help these perennial plants maintain their vigor, it is recommended to apply fertilizer:
• In April-May, to promote spring recovery.
• At the end of June, in anticipation of the stress caused by summer heat.
• Large trees (deciduous trees and conifers): Dig holes 15 cm (6 in) deep around the tree, under the tips of the longest branches, keeping a distance of 30 cm (12 in) between each hole.
• Drop the dose of fertilizer into the holes and cover with soil. Dosage: 90 g per 2.5 cm (1in)of trunk diameter. Shrubs and hedges: Spread on the ground around the tree, under the tips of the longest branches. Dosage: 90 g per shrub or 1.5 kg per 7.5 linear meters (25 ft) of hedge
• 1.5 kg covers 16 shrubs

• For healthy plants that better withstand winter, apply foliar sprays of Acadie seaweed in August.
