The plastic bag: the perfect tomato pot

To grow strong and healthy tomatoes, plant them in a plastic bag with holes in the bottom and the sides rolled down to form a pot 4-5 cm high.

Plant 2-3 seeds per bag. Once the seedlings have developed their first true leaves (about 15-18 days after planting), unroll the sides of the bag slightly and add more soil. Then, 15-20 days before transplanting, select the strongest plant in each bag, pinch off the first two true leaves, then unroll the bag and top up with soil to the leaf scars. The result: strong, beautiful plants!
